AI-assisted Merchant Onboarding — Documentation

← Back to the onboarding page

What it is

ISX is a Cyprus-based electronic money institution (EMI) offering e-money accounts, merchant acquiring, and payment processing to EU businesses. This capability provides AI-native KYB (business) and UBO KYC (beneficial-owner) merchant onboarding. Rather than a web form, ISX publishes onboarding as a capability your AI assistant connects to over the Model Context Protocol (MCP). You talk to your assistant; it talks to ISX.

Supported assistants

Any assistant that can connect to an MCP server and complete an OAuth 2.1 login — for example ChatGPT or Claude. The capability is assistant-neutral; nothing here is specific to one vendor.

Authentication

Your assistant registers as an OAuth client (dynamic registration) and obtains a token via authorization code + PKCE. You authenticate in a browser step. Every case is bound to your verified identity; an assistant can only see and act on your own cases.

Security

Privacy & consent

You review and confirm every submission before your assistant sends it. You can withdraw a case at any time (it becomes permanently closed). Verification, sanctions/PEP screening, and the accept/reject decision are performed by downstream ISX systems, not by this capability or your assistant.
